Join Willow at BeetBox for a garlic braiding workshop in celebration of the bountiful harvest, and the coming of fall. Braiding heads of garlic is an aesthetic and practical way to store your garlic. We will be providing all the materials and know-how for you to complete a garlic braid. You can even incorporate everlasting flowers between the garlic to create a beautiful braid that will hold its colour into the winter. At the end of the workshop you will bring home your very own 9-bulb garlic braid and a new skill.
When : Thursday, September 26th from 4:30-6pm AND Saturday October 5th from 1:00-2:30pm

What is a sliding scale?
We are offering different prices for the same product. The concept of sliding scale is that people pay what they are able to for this workshop. Those with access to more resources pay more and provide the cushion for those with less resources. This approach creates a sustainable economic underpinning for running workshops, thereby allowing more people to join the workshop who might not have otherwise.
Materials: All materials and instructions will be provided but if you grow your own dried flowers feel free to bring them along, otherwise we will have plenty. You will be able to complete 1 braid during the workshop.
Dress for the weather, we’ll be outside or in the greenhouse.
